“Infernal Affairs” trailer released

(UTV | AMERICA) – Janus Films has premiered a trailer for the upcoming 4K restorations and re-release of the entire “Infernal Affairs” trilogy – the iconic Hong Kong crime saga that inspired Scorsese’s reimagining of the story with “The Departed”.

The story follows two men who are both undercover moles – one an undercover cop (Tony Leung) sent to infiltrate a triad, the other a gangster (Andy Lau) who rises in the police to a Senior Inspector. A decade after each went into their new lives, they find themselves facing off against each other.

The trilogy of films stars Andy Lau and Tony Leung and was directed by Andrew Lau Wai-keung and Alan Mak.

The new 4K restorations debut on September 16th at Film at Lincoln Center in New York City ahead of a home release as a Blu-ray box-set on November 15th by the Criterion Collection.
