Ruwan Wijewardene named Presidential Advisor on climate change

(UTV | COLOMBO) – Deputy Leader of the United National Party Ruwan Wijewardene has been appointed as a Presidential Advisor on Climate Change.

The appointment has been made by President Ranil Wickremesinghe.

Sri Lanka in 2016 became a signatory to the Paris Agreement on Climate Change.

Currently, attention of many around the world is focused on preventing the damage to the earth caused by climate change.

The President’s Media Division said Sri Lanka also has many tasks that need to be completed for its global responsibilities.
