Wear Face Masks in Public Place – Health Ministry

(UTV | COLOMBO) – The Ministry of Health is appealing to the General Public to wear the face mask as they did before when visiting Public Places, and when traveling.

The Secretary to the Ministry of Health Janaka Chandragupta told that there is a risk of COVID-19 spreading in the country once again, and thus all measures to prevent the spread need to be taken.

The Secretary of the Ministry noted that social distancing and other hygiene measures such as washing hands, as implemented before, should be followed continuously.

Meanwhile, Deputy Director General of Health Services, Dr. Hemantha Herath said that the number of people infected with COVID-19 is increasing once again.

The Health Ministry said that 56 COVID-19 cases were reported today (25).
