SJB protest to get underway at 10am tomorrow

(UTV | COLOMBO) – The protest organized by the Samagi Jana Balawegaya against the government will be held at 10am opposite the Colombo Fort Railway Station tomorrow.

Speaking during a media briefing today, Parliamentarian Rajitha Senaratne said the SJB is commencing the second phase of the struggle to oust President Gotabaya Rajapaksa.

MP Senaratne said the public engaged in the struggle, all political parties, trade unions, and civil societies will unite tomorrow and take to the street in the millions.

The Parliamentarian said the public is already organized and are eager to participate in tomorrow’s massive protest.

He claimed that many individuals inquired into tomorrow’s plans as opposed to parties having to invite the public to rallies in Colombo.

Furthermore, MP Rajitha Senaratne said they will stage the protest surrounding the President’s House in Colombo, Fort and will not leave until President Rajapaksa steps down.

The MP reminded Tri-Forces members and the Police that the struggle is a public struggle and not a political struggle.
