‘No private buses around the people’s struggle tomorrow’

(UTV | COLOMBO) – The Lanka Private Bus Owners Association say they will not operate any buses in areas centered around the people’s struggle tomorrow.

Speaking to media today, President of the Association Gemunu Wijeratne said the decision was taken owing to increased fuel consumption when using alternate routes, as a result of Police imposing road closures.

Wijeratne commented that they will be unable to operate buses tomorrow, but added that his faction had no opposition to the peoples struggle.

He explained that bus operators only receive a limited quantity of fuel sufficient for two days.
