(UTV | COLOMBO) – Litro informs the public to not to wait in queues to buy gas until the 6th of next month.
Its chairman Muditha Peiris said that there would be no gas to distibute to the public and 2 ships carrying 7,000 metric tons of gas are scheduled to arrive between the 5th and 12th of next month.
Also, a large ship carrying 25,000 metric tons of gas is due to reach the Maldivian waters after the 10th of next month and it is planned to import gas to Sri Lanka using small vessels.
Litro chairman Muditha Peiris said it is planned to distibute 80,000, 12.5 Kg domestic gas cylinders daily island wide after the 5th of this month.
