No Litro Gas distribution today

(UTV | COLOMBO) – Due to an inability to pay the dues to the gas ship that arrived on the island, Litro Gas declared that there will be no gas distribution today for the seventh day in a row.

The ship carrying 3,900 metric tons of LP gas that arrived on the island on June 8 has yet to be released due to a lack of funds to cover the cost of the ship.

Litro Gas had to pay a seven-day late fee for the ship, which included today, June 14. As a result, Litro announced that it would pay $2.5 million for the the ship’s gas inventory except for the late charges.

Despite the disruption in gas supplies, our provincial reporters across the island reported that people are still queuing.
