Litro management summoned to COPE

(UTV | COLOMBO) – The management of Litro Gas Lanka Ltd has been summoned before the Committee on Public Enterprises (COPE) on Friday (20) at 11.00 am to inquire into the current gas shortage and related solutions.

While expressing views in Parliament on Thursday (19) on the need to expedite the gas distribution process the Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe instructed to summon the Litro Gas before the COPE to look into the matter.

The first report of the Second Session of the Ninth Parliamentary Committee on Public Accounts (COPA) will be presented to Parliament on Friday (20) by its Chairman, M.P. (Prof.) Tissa Vitharana.

This report contains information on the investigations of 7 Government Institutions summoned by the Committee on Public Accounts during the period from 04.08.2021 to 19.11.2021 and information on investigations pertaining to one particular audit report.Litro management summoned to COPE
