(UTV | COLOMBO) – The 13th National War Heroes’ commemoration was held today under the patronage of President Gotabaya Rajapaksa at the National War Heroes Memorial in Battaramulla.
The commemoration was organized to mark the defeat of the 30-year-long conflict with the LTTE and to commemorate the war heroes who laid down their lives for the country and veterans who were left disabled.
Defence Secretary Rt. General Kamal Gunaratne, Commanders of the Army, Navy and Air Force and the Inspector General of Police were also present at the occasion.
