Jodie Comer set for sci-fi thriller “End”

(UTV | UNITED KINGDOM) – “Killing Eve” and “Free guy” star Jodie Comer has joined the post-environmental collapse thriller “The end we start from”.

Set amid an environmental crisis that sees London submerged by flood waters, the survival story focuses on a young family torn apart in the chaos. Comer will play a mother who with her newborn child tries to find a way home.

The story is adapted from the acclaimed novel by Megan Hunter which has drawn comparisons to Cormac McCarthy’s “The Road”.

Mahalia Belo (“The Long Song”) will direct from a script by playwright Alice Birch (“Lady Macbeth”).

Leah Clarke, Adam Ackland, Liza Marshall, Sophie Hunter and Amy Jackson produce.
