Cement prices are likely to rise again

(UTV | COLOMBO) – According to cement sellers, cement companies have taken steps to increase the price of cement in view of rising fuel prices.

Accordingly, a 50 kg bag of cement is currently being sold in the market for Rs. 2,300 – 2,350 and the cement companies have taken steps to increase the price of new cement to Rs. 500-600.

Hatton area cement traders also said that the demand had fallen due to rising cement prices and that cement was not being stockpiled in stores as construction of new buildings had stopped.
