Rambukkana incident: Police curfew continues

(UTV | COLOMBO) – Police media spokesman Superintendent of Police Nihal Thalduwa said that the police curfew imposed in the Rambukkana police area is still in force.

The police curfew was imposed yesterday (19) due to the unrest in Rambukkana.

The police said that the police had been used as a minimum strength when a group sought to use a group of fuel bows during the demonstration.

One person was killed and at least 24 were injured in what became known as the Cold War.

The protest started at 1.30 am yesterday (19) to protest against the fuel price hike.
