(UTV | COLOMBO) – The chairman of the committee, Member of Parliament Anura Priyadharshana Yapa said that Central Bank Governor Ajit Nivat Cabral has been summoned to the Committee on Public Finance today.
He noted that officials, including the Governor of the Central Bank and the Secretary to the Ministry of Finance, have been invited to inquire about the current economic situation in the country.
It is pertinent to note that the Chairman of the Committee had expressed concern over the non-participation of the Central Bank Governor, its top officials, members of the Finance Board and the Secretary to the Ministry of Finance in the Committee on Public Finance which was convened on the 24th.
