(UTV | COLOMBO) – Indian External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar today called on President Gotabaya Rajapaksa.
Dr. Jaishankar arrived in the island on a three day official visit to engage in the BIMSTEC conference that got underway in Colombo today.
The President’s Media Division issuing a statement said the President welcomed Minister Jaishankar’s visit and expressed his gratitude to the USD 1 billion loan facility granted to Sri Lanka by India in order to import food, medicines and other essential items.
The President’s Media Division said a special commemorative coin and stamp will be issued to celebrate 75 years of diplomatic relations between Sri Lanka and India.
