Parton & Patterson’s “Rose” set for film

(UTV | UNITED STATES) – Dolly Parton is coming back to cinemas with a film adaptation of the just-published novel she and Alex Cross author James Patterson co-wrote titled “Run, Rose, Run”.

The pair will produce the feature for Reese Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine label with Witherspoon and Lauren Neustadter also producing.

The story follows a young woman who comes to Nashville to pursue her dreams of becoming a country music star. However, her songs hinge on a secret she has wants desperately to hide and, if revealed, could threaten her future.

The book has already topped The New York Times bestseller list and Parton released a chart-topping companion album of the same name via Butterfly Records.
