(UTV | COLOMBO) – The Socialist Youth Union is currently engaged in a protest in Colombo.
The protest was staged against a number of prevailing issues, including the sale of state assets to foreign countries and the increase in fuel prices.

Speaking during the protest, National Organizer of the Socialist Youth Union Eranga Gunasekara said they are engaged in the protest to display their displeasure towards the insensitive government.
Gunasekara called on the youth of the country to unite irrespective of race and political affiliations in order to protect the nation.
