Saudi to assist Sri Lanka in renewable energy

(UTV | COLOMBO) – President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has invited the Foreign Minister of Saudi Arab, Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud for direct investments in several sectors.

According to a press release issued by the Presidential Media Division, the President has pointed out the ample investment opportunities which exist in areas such as agriculture, renewable energy generation, technical development and other investment opportunities available with regard to the Port City of Colombo.

The President also drew the attention of the Saudi Foreign Minister to energy necessities of Sri Lanka, which was affected due to the dry weather, and the losses experienced in the tourism sector, among other causes.
