Three-wheeler owners increase fares

(UTV | COLOMBO) – Three-wheeler owners have decided to increase three-wheeler fares with effect from tomorrow(13).

Accordingly, fares for the first kilometre will be increased to Rs.70 and each additional kilometre will cost Rs.55 within city limits.

Speaking to NewsRadio, Chairman of the All-Island Three-wheeler Owners Association Sudil Jayaruk said three-wheeler drivers decided to increase fares, in line with the sudden increase in prices of goods and services.

He said fares in rural areas will be increased to Rs.80 for the first kilometre and each additional kilometre will cost Rs.60.
