(UTV | COLOMBO) – Island wide power cuts will be imposed today as well.
The Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka said a request by the Ceylon Electricity Board was approved.
Accordingly, a 4 hour and 40-minute power cut will be imposed in areas A, B and C while a 5 hour and 15-minute power cut will be imposed in other areas.
Scheduled power cuts have been imposed since the beginning of the week, owing to the inability of power plants to operate due to the fuel shortage.
