(UTV | COLOMBO) – Litro Gas warns of a gas shortage if the dollars needed to release 6,000 metric tons of imported gas are not met today (24).
It is reported that the Central Bank of Sri Lanka had not issued any dollars until yesterday (23) afternoon, although it needed about US $ 1.2 million to release the gas.
Two gas tankers imported by Litro Gas are currently stationed off the coast of Sri Lanka.
As of yesterday (23) the company had only 2000 metric tons of gas.
Litro Gas has also placed an order to import gas.
