IFRC Secretary General calls on the Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa

(UTV | COLOMBO) – The Secretary General of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies Jagan Chapagain and delegation have called on Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa at the Temple Trees.

The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent, the world’s largest humanitarian organization, span across 192 countries.

Prime Minister Rajapaksa thanked the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies for humanitarian assistance provided through Sri Lanka Red Cross during disasters experienced in Sri Lanka, including the COVID-19 pandemic.

Jagan Chapagain expressed confidence that priority will be given to providing benefits to Lankan citizens during future relief efforts.
