CEBEU announces power cut schedule for tonight

(UTV | COLOMBO) – As furnace oil stocks at power plants are running out, the Ceylon Electricity Board Engineers’ Union (CEBEU) says disruptions to the power supply are inevitable tonight and tomorrow.

According to the CEB engineers, the consumers can expect one-hour power cuts between 5.30 p.m. and 9.30 p.m. today (January 24) and nearly two-hour power cuts between 1.30 p.m. and 9.30 p.m. tomorrow (January 25), under four categories.

The time schedule for power cuts that are to be imposed tonight is as follows:

• Group A – from 5.30 p.m. to 6.30 p.m.
• Group B – from 6.30 p.m. to 7.30 p.m.
• Group C – from 7.30 p.m. to 8.30 p.m.
• Group D – from 8.30 p.m. to 9.30 p.m
