(UTV | COLOMBO) – More than 3900 Dengue patients have been reported in the country during the 1st two weeks of this year, the National Dengue Control Unit said on Saturday (Jan. 15).
“There is a significant increase in the rate of Dengue infections, compared to the first 02-weeks of last year,” Community Physician Dr. Shilanthi Seneviratne at the National Dengue Control Unit told News 1st.
Dr. Seneviratne urged the people to assist the authorities to contain the spread of Dengue by eliminating mosquito breeding grounds.
