FR filed at the SC against the Trinco Oil Tank agreement

(UTV | COLOMBO) – Secretary of the National Bhikhu Front ven. Wakamulle Uditha thera has filed a fundamental rights petition before the Supreme Court against the Trincomalee Oil Tank Farm agreement.

47 individuals including the Attorney General representing the President, the Secretary of the Ministry of Finance, and the Minister of Energy have been cited as respondents.

The agreement to develop the Trincomalee Oil Tank Farm was signed yesterday.

The Secretary of the Treasury signed the agreement on behalf of the Sri Lankan government, while the other signatories included the Commissioner General of Land, the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation, the Lanka Indian Oil Corporation and the Trinco Petroleum Terminal Pvt. Ltd.
