(UTV | COLOMBO) – Minister of Education Dinesh Gunawardena says academic activities of Grade 1 students for the year 2022 will commence from April.
Speaking to media in Kandy today, Minister Gunawardena said the school application process is being carried out as usual.
The Minister said the school term will end on the 23rd of December and will reopen on the 3rd of January.
He said the academic year will end in April in order to complete the syllabus.
Minister Gunawardena said parents can submit applications according to usual circulars.
Commenting on future examination processes, the Minister said the Grade 5 Scholarship Examination will be conducted in the third week of January adding the GCE Advanced Level Examination will commence on the 1st of February.
He said the Department of Examinations is preparing to conduct the GCE Ordinary Level Examination in May and conclude by mid-June.
