No aptitude tests for university admissions in future-UGC

(UTV | COLOMBO) – Chairman of the University Grants Commission Professor Sampath Amaratunge says a decision has been reached to refrain from conducting aptitude tests for university admissions in future.

Professor Sampath Amaratunge revealed of the matter when the University Grants Commission was summoned before the Committee on Public Enterprises last afternoon.

He said 15 scholarships have been awarded for postgraduate students adding however the Commission suffered major losses due to students dropping out.
