Indoor zoo in Ulaanbaatar reopens to visitors

(UTV | MONGOLIA) – “Ulaanbaatar” zoo is the only indoor zoo in Mongolia, and it is a valuable place to teach Mongolian children about many kinds of animals they used to see on TV and in books.

Currently, there are more than 700 animals of more than 80 species. Compared to other places of entertainment, the zoo is inhabited by animals and there are still costs of food, care, and cleanliness, which pushed the owners of the institute to work for two years without stopping, however, during the pandemic there was no revenue coming from it.

The in-charge has reduced the entertainment area by 200 m2, especially with the small number of visitors compared to before the lockdown. In compliance with the measures of social distancing, they converted the hall into a single-lane hall so that they enter through one door and exit through the other one.
