Court sets date to hear Ranjan’s second case

(UTV | COLOMBO) – The Supreme Court today set dates to hear the second case filed against former Parliamentarian Ranjan Ramanayake, on contempt of court charges.

Accordingly, the case will be heard from the 24th of January.

The order was issued by a bench comprising of Justices S Thurairajah, Ahmad Nawaz and Arjuna Obeysekera.

The bench also ordered the Superintendent of Prisons to take necessary steps to produce Ranjan Ramanayake in Court on that day.
