(UTV | COLOMBO) – Sri Lanka’s Elections Commission has decided to appoint Manju Lalith Warna Kumara to the Parliamentary seat left vacant following the resignation of Mahinda Samarasinghe.
A statement noted that the Elections Commission reached the decision on Tuesday (30) and the relevant gazette will also be issued.
Samarasinghe stepped down as a Member of Parliament to take up the post of Sri Lankan Ambassador to the United States of America.
