Burke replaces Abdul-Mateen II in “Furiosa”

(UTV | COLOMBO) – Burke Replaces Abdul-Mateen II In “Furiosa”

“Mank” and “The Souvenir” actor Tom Burke will replace “Aquaman” and “Candyman” actor Yahya Abdul-Mateen II in George Miller’s “Mad Max: Fury Road” spin-off feature “Furiosa”. Abdul-Mateen II had to part ways with the project due to a scheduling conflict with a passion project of his, leading to Burke stepping in to the role which remains under wraps. He joins a cast that includes Anya Taylor-Joy as Furiosa alongside Chris Hemsworth. Miller is directing, co-writing and producing with Doug Mitchell. “Mad Max: Fury Road” grossed $375.2 million at the global box office and won “six Oscars”.
