Delroy Lindo Joins Marvel Studios’ “Blade”

(UTV | COLOMBO) – Acting legend Delroy Lindo is in final negotiations to join Mahershala Ali in “Blade” for Marvel Studios.

The Blade character is a human-vampire hybrid whose mother being bitten and killed by a blood-sucker during childbirth. He now hunts vampires.

The role was previously played on screen pre-MCU by Wesley Snipes, with Ali taking on the role for the new film. Ali did a voice cameo in the role in a post-credits scene of “Eternals”.

Lindo’s role is unknown, but he marks the first piece of casting outside of Ali. Bassam Tariq (Mogul Mowgli”) directs from a script by Stacy Osei-Kuffour (“Watchmen”) and filming aims to begin late summer 2022.
