Warner develops “Under Siege” reboot

(UTV | COLOMBO) – Warner develops “Under Siege” reboot

Warner Bros Pictures is reportedly well into the development of a reboot of the 1992 Steven Seagal action movie “Under Siege”. Timo Tjahjanto (“The Night Comes for Us”) is directing and Umair Aleem (“Kate”) is writing this new take which is expected to premiere as an HBO Max original feature.

The original starred Seagal as Casey Ryback, an ex-Navy Seal turned cook who ends up trying to stop a group of terrorists (led by Tommy Lee Jones) from taking control of a U.S. battleship. The film, which also starred Gary Busey and Erika Eleniak, spawned a sequel. Tjahjanto is currently attached to direct New Line’s remake of Korean hit “Train to Busan” which has James Wan producing.
