(UTV | COLOMBO) – Rev. Cyril Gamini has been instructed to return to the CID on the 15.
It is to obtain a statement regarding the complaint made by the Director General of the National Intelligence Service, Major General Suresh Sali regarding a statement made by the Father regarding the Easter attack.
The Director of National Intelligence made this complaint last month and accordingly Fr. Cyril Gamini was summoned to the CID for a statement.
However, three other priests who were present at the CID asked for a week to make the statement.
On November 2, Fr. Cyril Gamini filed a petition in the Supreme Court seeking an injunction restraining his arrest by the CID.
It was considered on the 8th and the Attorney General informed that Fr. Cyril Gamini would not be arrested at this time.
Sources say that Fr. Cyril Gamini is scheduled to go to the CID to give a statement.
