“Forza Horizon 5” Reviews Are Glorious

(UTV | COLOMBO) – Reviews are in and Microsoft’s Xbox & PC exclusive “Forza Horizon 5” is set to tie with another Xbox exclusive with “Psychonauts 2” as the best new game of the year.

With 82 reviews counted, the title has pulled in a 91/100 on Metacritic which is on par with the rest of the series – the third title also scoring a 91 while the fourth landed a 92.

Not including the Switch visual novel “The House in Fata Morgana” or re-release and/or console ports of earlier titles like “Hades” (93) “Disco Elysium: The Final Cut” (97) and “Tetris Effect: Connected” (95), that means “Forza Horizon 5” and August’s “Psychonauts 2” (also at 91) are the best-reviewed new games in this calendar year to date.

The new ‘Forza’ comes in ahead of studio titles like “It Takes Two” (89), “Deathloop” (88), “Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart” (88), “Metroid Dread” (88), “Monster Hunter Rise” (88), “Hitman 3” (87) and “Shin Megami Tensei V” (87).

It also beats out indie titles like “Chicory: A Colorful Tale” (90), “Wildermyth” (87), Death’s Door” (87), and re-releases/ports like “Mass Effect: Legendary Edition” (90), “Microsoft Flight Simulator” (90), “Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2” (89), and “Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut” (88).

The new title is currently available as a Day One title on Xbox Game Pass both on Xbox consoles and on PC.
