“Star Trek: Prodigy” Renewed For S2

(UTV | COLOMBO) – The Paramount+ service has handed out a renewal order for a second season of the animated kids series “Star Trek: Prodigy”.

The order comes just two weeks after the show premiered on October 28th and had what the streamer says was the top-performing premiere day out of any originally animated kids series on the platform.

The series, which marks the return of Kate Mulgrew as Kathryn Janeway, was designed with the aim of bringing in new and young (kids 6-11) potential fans to the franchise.

New episodes of Prodigy will continue to stream weekly through November 18th which will be the midseason finale. The ten-episode second part of season one returns January 6th.
