DMV reservation system extended to District offices

(UTV | COLOMBO) – The public has been requested to make appointments online or via a phone call, before visiting district offices of the Department of Motor Traffic.

The reservation facility that was only available for the main DMV offices in Werahera and Narahenpita, has been made available for district offices recently.

Speaking to media in Kandy, State Minister of Transport Dilum Amunugama said the facility can now be used to reserve time slots prior to visiting district offices of the DMV as well.

He said the appointment system that was introduced to combat congestion, corruption and inefficiencies within the DMV has been extended island wide.

Therefore, the State Minister requested individuals to use the system, and visit offices at the time slot allocated via text message.

He added the public can chose a day of their preference through the new system.
