First meeting of One Country, One Law Task Force today

(UTV | COLOMBO) – The Presidential Task Force for One Country, One Law convenes for the first time today.

Chairman of the Task Force Ven. Galagodaththe Gnanasara thera said an official statement will be made next Monday after today’s discussion.

The 13-member Task Force has been vested with studying the implementation of the concept; One Country, One Law within Sri Lanka and preparing a draft Act and studying Acts and amendments that have already been compiled by the Ministry of Justice and to determine if there are suitable amendments and to submit proposals as deemed appropriate.

The 13-member Presidential Task Force headed by Gnanasara thera was appointed on Wednesday.
