Tsagaan Khad border truck drivers protest against isolation method

(UTV | MONGOLIA) – Due to the pandemic situation, 3 months have passed since the transportation of mining products was classified under emergency conditions.

In this regard, drivers transporting coal through the Tsagan Khad border crossing continue their protests against the isolation method where an average of 30-40 drivers are placed in one solation and if one of the isolated individuals tested positive with the virus, the rest of the individuals will not be able to transport and they will be re-isolated.

Truck drivers who have not been able to travel for three months continue to protest, they parked their trucks in Sukhbaatar Square, and rioted at the Tsagaan Khad border crossing, while, some truck drivers pay bribes to government officials to transport coal across the border.

Many serious problems have been revealed such as infected drivers hiding their illness.
