(UTV | COLOMBO) – Faf du Plessis of South Africa won the man of the match award in the final of the Indian Premier League, which ended yesterday.
In the final, he scored a quickfire 86 off 59 balls against the Kolkata Knight Riders.
Meanwhile, cricket sources say that Faf du Plessis has been selected as a foreign player for the Jaffna Kings team for the Sri Lanka Premier League tournament which is scheduled to start next December.
Faf du Plessis was the second highest scorer in the Indian Premier League this year with 633 runs.
It is reported that the LPL team owners have given permission to select two foreign players before the auction of players commence in the Lanka Premier League Twenty20 tournament.
There is an opportunity to purchase five foreign players for each team for the tournament at the auction.
Meanwhile, the match organizer recently announced the match schedule of the Lanka Premier League which is set to start next December.
