Riverbank restaurant takes advantage of annual flood to attract customers

(UTV | THAILAND) – Extraordinarily, Chaophraya Antique Cafe in Thailand’s Nonthaburi Province was able to take advantage of the country’s annual floods, by allowing customers to sit down and eat meals, by dipping their feet in the floodwaters of the river.

The owner of the cafe, Titiporn Jutimanon, explained that his family had already suffered from the flood for many years, and for that he turned obstacles into achievements, explaining that his restaurant showed the spirit of the Thai people in looking at every obstacle in a good way.

Thailand experiences flood in many provinces during the monsoon every year, with nearly 1 million people and 300,000 homes affected by floods this year, according to data from the Thai government’s Disaster Prevention Department.
