(UTV | COLOMBO) – Five persons, including the businessman who bought the garlic stock have been ordered to be released on bail, when the case was taken up in the Wattala Magistrate’s Court today.
The suspects were released on a cash bail of Rs. 100,000 each and two personal sureties of Rs. 5 million each.
An Assistant General Manager, Senior Supply Manager, Supply Manager and Wholesale Manager of Lanka Sathosa were recently arrested and remanded until today in connection with this incident.
A businessman residing in Balapitiya who had bought the garlic was also arrested recently and remanded until today.
