Four centuries since Christian cemetery established in Dhaka

(UTV | BANGLADESH) – The Christian Cemetery in Dhaka was mainly established 400 years ago for the European traders and their families who used to work for East India Company back during the 17th Century.

The tomb of Reverend Joseph Paget who died at the age of 26 years, the tomb was found in 1724 at the, is considered one of the oldest tombs and can be recognized by its architecture and the mausoleum that consists of a round dome with eight columns inside Narendra cemetery. The cemetery has undergone many transformations due to climate changes and other geographical factors.
