(UTV | COLOMBO) – Samagi Jana Balawegaya Parliamentarian Manusha Nanayakkara arrived at the Criminal Investigation Department this morning to record a statement pertaining to investigations into information that is missing from the database of the National Medicines Regulatory Authority.
He appeared before the CID at 9am after being summoned by the CID.
Speaking to media prior to recording the statement, MP Nanayakkara said individuals revealing the truth to the country are being oppressed, and charged that the subject Minister himself is unaware of the summons.
While claiming the individuals behind this development remain unknown, MP Nanayakkara questioned if businessmen were responsible as their dealings would be uncovered.
He also stated that a suspect has been arrested over the incident and claimed that individuals who revealed of the incident being summoned to the CID are puzzling.
