Overseas Player Registration for LPL open from tomorrow

(UTV | COLOMBO) -Sri Lanka Cricket says the ‘Overseas Player Registration Process’ for the 2nd edition of the Lanka Premier League will commence tomorrow.

Issuing a statement SLC said players can register via the registration portal established at www.srilankacricket.lk on or before noon on the 5th of October.

All registered players will be included in the LPL Player Draft, based on their eligibility.

SLC said the overseas players entering the LPL Player Draft should have represented their respective National Team, or played first-class cricket, or should have taken part in a major T20 franchise-based cricket in full member board tournaments.

The players should also be recognized by the respective cricketing boards.

The 2nd edition of the Lanka Premier League, which is Sri Lanka’s topmost domestic T20 tournament, will be held from the 4th to the 23rd of December and will consist of five teams, with 20 players part of each squad.

A team will consist of 14 local and six overseas players.
