76th UNGA : Pres.Gotabaya Rajapaksa to hold bilateral discussions with several World leaders

(UTV | COLOMBO) – President Gotabaya Rajapaksa is scheduled to hold bilateral discussions with several World leaders including Secretary-General of the United Nations, António Guterres while attending the 76th UN General Assembly.

Speaking at a media briefing organized by the Presidential Media Center yesterday, Lalith Weeratunga, Senior Advisor to the President, said that the President was more likely to meet with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The President is scheduled to address the General Assembly at the UN Headquarters on 21 September, and will also attend a high-level conference on energy and food security.

Senior Advisor to the President Lalith Weeratunga stated that the Heads of State addressing the session will comment further on the measures taken to combat the COVID pandemic.
