Decision on quarantine curfew extension today

(UTV | COLOMBO) – State Minister, Dilum Amunugama stated that the final decision on whether the curfew would be lifted in the country on 21 September, will be taken at the COVID Task Force meeting today(17).

Meanwhile, the Sri Lanka Association of Specialist Doctors has issued a statement calling for the extension of the current quarantine curfew.

“Sri Lanka has been further identified as a COVID High-Risk Zone, a Red Zone, and our goal should be to bring the country from the Red Zone to the Green Zone,” the statement from the Association of Specialist Physicians said.

Today’s meeting will also discuss the reopening of schools and the vaccination of children, and a final agreement on the age limit for vaccination of children.
