Joint meeting of Energy Ministers of Jordan, Egypt, Lebanon, Syria

(UTV | JORDAN) – The Jordanian Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Hala Zawati, stated that the quadripartite meeting held in Amman between Jordan, Lebanon, Egypt, and Syria aims to pump Egyptian gas to Lebanon after 10 years of interruption.

Zawati added in a press conference on Wednesday, that a meeting will be held shortly to develop an action plan for the delivery of electricity from Jordan to Lebanon to determine the infrastructure damage that occurred during the last period.

The meeting included the Jordanian Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Eng. Hala Zawati, the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources in the Arab Republic of Egypt, Eng. Tariq Al-Mulla, the Minister of Oil and Mineral Resources of the Syrian Arab Republic, Engineer Bassam Tohme, and the Minister of Energy and Water of the Lebanese Republic, Dr. Raymond Ghajar.
