(UTV | MONGOLIA) – Amid reports of Delta variant cases in Mongolia, citizens in Ulaanbaatar expressed their concerns.
The delta variant, which initially originated in India, has spread after a group of citizens came from India in April.
Therefore, the health authority has sent more than 70 samples to the Japan Institute of Infectious Diseases.
NCCD Deputy Director for Surveillance, J. Baigalmaa indicated that delta variant has spread rapidly and it is 60% more contagious than over variants, which invokes an immediate action by the health authority.
