Four websites banned for publishing ads for online sex trafficking network

(UTV | COLOMBO) – Police Media Spokesman Senior DIG Ajith Rohana states that further police investigations are underway into the incident where a 15 year old girl was traded online in Mt. Lavinia.

The Colombo Magistrate’s Court has issued an order to the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission to ban 04 websites that were used to publish advertisements with regard to the online sex trafficking network in Mount Lavinia

The Police Media Spokesman further stated that this order was issued following a request made by the Children and Women’s Bureau to ban the relevant websites.
