Police arrest a female in a quarantine centre

(UTV | GAMPAHA) – Police have arrested a woman who was being quarantined at a quarantine centre in Naiwala, Veyangoda.

This quarantine centre is maintained mainly for women arriving in the country from overseas.

The suspect, a resident of Mullaitivu, has been collecting information of the other women who were being quarantined in the centre.

The Veyangoda Police have revealed that the suspect had left for Saudi Arabia in 2019 using a false name and a forged identity card.

She will be produced before the Attanagalla Magistrate’s Court today (20).
